MAXI ANDERSON – “Glory glory” (1977)

Maxi Anderson is one of my all-time favorite session singers. She recorded one and only self-titled solo LP on Blue Note Records in 1977. The track I’ve chosen is co-written by the great Skip Scarborough (who also wrote the classic “Lover to lover” included on the same LP). Produced by the famous brothers Gene & Billy Page. Pure class!!!

I wish you all a happy new decade.

Here is a joyous mellow track featuring Darryl Phinnessee and Myrian Rios on lead vocals taken from Paulinho’s 4th solo LP “Breakdown” released on A&M Records in 1991.
