Japanese Soul never ceases to surprise. Here’s another mellow 2-Step knockout taken from Minako’s LP “Light’n up” released on Alfa Records only in Japan in 1982.
This is a totally neglected Soul ballad released right in the beginning of the new millennium by a fantastic crooner called Jerry Brooks. It features all these quality ingredients you’re looking for in a great Soul record: Indie sound, sultry lyrics, smooth backdrop and velvet vocals. Taken from his CD album “I’ll be there if you ever need me” released on !4th Floor Productions in 2000. 
Well, this is the third soulful surprise I’m posting on my Blog from a Greek artist. Highly professional work oozing “Urban Smooth Flavour”. Apart from Victoria’s powerful delivery, there’s also a great sax solo by Takis Paterelis.
Here’s a hidden treasure which was released originally as a flip side on 7” single on Family Records in 1980 and then was included on his LP "Dreams come true" on Universal Family Records the same year. Give it up for a classy groove tailor-made for O.C. Smith’s exceptional voice. Many thanks to my friend Souldennis for his valuable input.

This irresistible stepper came out only on 12” single. Originally released on Mirage Records in USA in 1984 and then on 10 Records Ltd in UK in 1985. First Love is comprised of Denise Austin, Demetrice Henrae, Martha Jackson and Lisa Hudson.
