Soul Seduction on “CONI ON AIR” Radio

Despite all the difficulties that Greece is going through - especially the past 3 weeks, with all Banks closed - I've got some great news for all the devoted fans of my Blog.
After many years I'm back on the Radio with my own show, every Wednesday night from 11pm to 1am Greek time on a brand new Web Radio located in Athens, Greece called “CONI ON AIR” at  There is also a ”chat-in-real-time” page for your comments.
My show is entitled “Soul Seduction”, I’m gonna present it in English language and I’m gonna be playing Mellow Soul, Smooth Funk, Sweet Disco, Subtle Jazz and Soul Gospel.

PATRICE RUSHEN & HOWARD SMITH – “Closer to you” (1987)

Fantastic ballad co-written by Patrice Rushen and Sheree Brown exclusively for the movie “Hollywood shuffle” directed by Robert Townsend in 1987. This great melody is heard during a romantic scene in the movie and also at the closing credits but only for about 1.5 minutes. Never released officially until today so we hope to be available in the near future from a Soul label…..perhaps Expansion Records?

EDMUND SYLVERS – “Beauty of nature” (1980

The kind of melody you should expect from this Blog. Smooth, mellow and vintage. Taken from his only LP “Have you heard” released on Casablanca Records in 1980.
It’s worthy to note that Spike Lee’s forthcoming movie “Spinning Gold” is a biopic of 1970s record producer Neil Bogart, co-founder of Casablanca records. No wonder, Soul Disco is on the spotlight again !

Mike & Brenda before recording as a duo, they were originally members of the 70s Group “Finished Touch”. Especially Mike Sutton wrote numerous songs for many Motown artists in the early 70s. Check this mellow nugget lifted from their debut 1982 LP “Don’t hold back” released on Sam Records.
