DONNA WASHINGTON - "Much more than friends" (1980)

Undoubtedly one of the best Soul songs ever recorded. Co-written by Allee Willis & Robert Wright. Donna’s performance is one of the kind. No cover version should ever be attempted! Taken from her debut LP “For the sake of love” released on Capitol Records in 1980.

I don't know about this. She's a good singer, but those keyboards sound horrible. I'm more into her 'Scuse Me, While I Fall In Love.

Eddy, thanks for your opinion. It's worthy to note that her great song "Scuse me..." was co-written by Luther Vandross & David Lasley in 1981.

I didn't know that, Nicolas. Thanks for this particular piece of information and for the great songs in general. You give me lots of inspiration for my daily radio show 'Soul searching'!

Hi Nicolas,
I love Phylis Hyman, Luther Vandross, and all the other singers you like. I tried e-mailing but for some reason it would not let the e-mail go through.
